Our Promise
Who We Support
Second Son has a special focus on supporting teams that have Apple centric technology ecosystems. Sometimes that means the entire business, and sometimes that means a department or team of users within a larger corporation. Our understanding of the unique dynamics and technological requirements of macOS-based environments enables us to provide bespoke solutions that optimize performance and productivity.
We cater to a diverse range of SMBs and larger companies across the US in a wide variety of industries: marketing agencies, biotech and pharmaceutical firms, education facilities, real estate investment firms, and more. While we don’t publish clients’ company names, you can read some of their reviews here.
Do you do more than just Apple devices?
Absolutely. We design, deploy, support, and manage entire IT ecosystems for teams including end-point security, wi-fi and wired networks, internet security, email security, virtual servers, conference room systems, cloud communication tools, and onboarding and offboarding workflows for growing teams. You can read more about our services here.
Do you support Windows devices?
Do you work with companies outside of Los Angeles?
Definitely. 30% of the users we support are remote users spread across the US and even some in the UK. With the trend towards more virtual companies and hybrid teams over the last few years, our team has honed tools and workflows to effectively support folks across 5 time zones.
Do you do on-site work?
What size teams do you support?
We work with teams as small as 7 users and as large as 350. We tailor our relationships to meet the needs of the team, from managing all of their IT, to working with their in-house IT teams to augment the skills and experience needed to manage their fleet of Apple devices.
At the same time, my father was a computer consultant who sold and installed mainframe systems in the 70s and 80s. He ultimately left the industry after many years of fighting dishonest and predatory sales tendencies pushed by his superiors, and feeling like he couldn’t honestly serve his customers.
My first few jobs after college were working for small, family-owned businesses, where I found myself watching my bosses try to grapple with the technology decisions needed to keep their companies up and running effectively. It felt like déjà vu.
All of this led to the realization that there must be a better way. I knew there was a way to be a technology advocate for our clients and rather than sell them products—help them learn about their company’s technology needs, help them find practical solutions, educate them as to how they can leverage them to grow their business, and engender a long-term, trust-driven relationship in the process.
I’m proud to say that through diligence, perseverance, and staying true to our core values and mission, our team has made this happen. We have clients that have been with us since the doors opened back in 2003 (and some from even before then!), and we value how extremely unusual that is in our industry. We are grateful for and thankful of their trust and business every day.

Our History
In 2003, I opened Second Son Consulting out of a gut-driven certainty. I knew, against all that I had witnessed, it was possible to create an IT services firm focused on helping small-to-medium business owners make pragmatic and long-term decisions about technology, while also built out of honest, hands-on, and educational service that would nurture a longstanding relationship with each and every client for years to come.
When I was a kid, I can’t tell you how many times I heard my mom and step-dad complain about how they couldn’t trust the IT company supporting the non-profit trade association they ran for 27 years. They felt they were being patronized through tech-talk and that they weren’t being given the chance to educate themselves, thereby allowing them to make informed decisions.
